Mass Times

Students from Penn as well as Drexel, USP, and the Restaurant School are very much engaged and active in the various music ministries of St. Agatha-St. James.  Any interested people are invited to participate in the 5:30 pm (Saturday), as well as the 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 5:00 pm, and 10:00 pm (Sunday) choirs.

The choirs’ main goals are to bring lively, enthusiastic, and reflective music to the parish and university communities so that the churchgoing congregation can better praise the Lord each week. Our repertoire includes a variety of genres of music, ranging from traditional Catholic songs to contemporary selections from some of the better-known Christian praise and worship groups. Our membership, consisting of more than 50 individuals, includes vocalists as well as several instrumentalists.

The choirs practice at various times during the week in the Penn Newman Center and on Sundays prior to the start of Mass. For more information, including how to join one of the choirs, please email one of the contact people below:

We would love for you to join us!
