Caritas (Latin for LOVE/CHARITY) is a retreat in the Spring for graduating seniors at Penn.
This overnight retreat is a time for reflection on one’s experience as a Catholic undergraduate at Penn and an opportunity to prayerfully look ahead to the future. This retreat provides an opportunity for graduating seniors to examine their personal lives over the past four years, as well as helping them to come to an understanding of how God’s grace and love has helped to shape who they are and who they are becoming. This retreat consists of reflective activities, silent prayer periods, small group discussions and casual recreation. CARITAS is offered in the spring semester at the peaceful Cranaleith Spiritual Center, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, on the edge of Northeast Philadelphia.
