Small Groups
We are called to be in communion with one another and joining a small group is a great way to grow in faith with friends and get involved! Whether it’s in a FOCUS Bible study, a Marian group led by one of the brothers or one of our cultural small groups, this is the best way to get connected here at Newman!
Peer to peer support is crucial at Penn. FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) is a missionary organization dedicated to accompany students in understanding and deepening their faith while in college. We host weekly bible studies for men and women, discipleship groups for students who desire mentorship in becoming a leader on campus, as well as mission trips, conferences, and fun events throughout the year.

FOCUS Bible Study
Meet each week with a missionary or student leader to talk about relevant topics rooted in scripture. Email Emily for more info.
Hispanic Small Group
Meet once a week to talk about how your faith and culture intersect. Email Fr. Remi to join.
Filipino Small Group
New this year! Join Filipinos across Philadelphia for Filipino Masses and weekly prayer. Email Eugene Enclona eenclona@seas.upenn.edu with interest.
Asian Small Group

Marian Group
Meet once a week to grow in community and love for Mary, so as to go out and announce her Son, Jesus, to all the world.
Young Adults/Graduate Students
Led by Fr. Remi Morales, this group is for all young people who strive to grow in their relationship with God in an environment that is both challenging and supportive. With frequent camping trips, pilgrimages, and retreats, this is a rather active group! Meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm on Zoom. Email Fr. Remi to join.
Athlete Bible Study
Meet each week with a group of fellow student athletes to learn about scripture and how God’s word applies to daily life. Email Molly for more info.
